About HISTORY - The Evolution of Music
HISTORY - The Evolution of Music is a large-scale stage production at the Pirámide de Arona auditorium, the distinctive pyramid-shaped theatre on the Golden Mile in Playa de las Américas, next to the Hard Rock Cafe. The show takes the audience on a musical journey from Mozart to Michael Jackson.
A cast of more than 30 international singers, dancers, musicians and acrobats performs live, with costume changes, choreography, lighting and audiovisual effects covering the music of different decades, including tributes to famous stars and a nod to the story of Playa de las Américas itself. It is presented as a polished theatre show rather than a noisy cabaret.
Performances are usually on Saturday evenings and last around two and a half to three hours, including an interval. Seating is theatre-style, there is a bar on site, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. It suits couples and families with children old enough to sit through a full evening show.
